Hooray!! On March 18th the daffodils finally started to bloom!

I also visited Clair on that day and we chatted (a lot) and crafted (a little), and ate bacon butties (yum, thanks Clair x) followed by lemon and ginger cookies which I'd made by adding the juice and grated rind of a lemon and some chopped ginger to this basic recipe. (I also added an extra couple of ounces of flour as the lemon juice made the dough quite wet.)

It must be such a relief to finally see some colour after the long and arduous winter you have had!
I'm quite envious you manage to catch up with a crafty friend :-)

daffodils are so joyous, I love it when there are big banks of them on council land.

You're a bit ahead of us - our daffs only came out on Thursday! They look nice though.

I used to drive from Milton Keynes (where we lived ages ago) to Bedford each day. In spring it was great because there were crowds of daffodils on every grass verge and every roundabout for the whole 20miles!

Yum - love lemon & ginger cookies...

Once again you use that magic word 'lemon' and I immediately want to try that recipe! They look delish!

It IS nice to catch up with a crafty friend, isn't it? Especially when we share cookies, cakes and laughs.
