Gosh, an almost full face picture of Mel! I'm impressed! I'm with Helena on the subject of backgrounds, not sure if that makes me nosey or inquisitive, but I love to see the things that accidently make it into the picture that tell you a little about the person's life! I'm guessing it's a border going up a staircase ...
By the end of the year we are going to have full portraits I'm sure .... you are getting closer every time! I love the backgrounds as well ... lots of fun to get those little glimpses into your life!
lol! There's a bit of an angle going on too, but I take these shots in the hall where we have a large mirror; behind me are the stairs and you can see the wallpaper border that goes up that wall :-) (We haven't actually redecorated this part of the house yet since moving in, as other rooms were more of a priority, but at some point that border will GO!)
Lol, We are definitely seeing more of you! Your hair looks good and that latte looks yummy. I wish I had yummy coffee when I went to the hairdressers, we get boring coffee!
An almost-all-of-Mel photo! Amazing! You really should put a photo of your whole face on your blog somewhere - you look so nice and friendly! I love your haircut - it suits your face (what we can see of it!).
Get brave, Mel... ask your friend to take a few shots and choose the best for you - them put it on your blog! It would make a good subject for a "Confession" layout.
That's a fab photo! My hair is shorter, but if I wear my glasses and hold the camera up to my face I'd look quite a bit like that! Clearly we are scrapbooking sisters :) Oh, and I like looking in the background too.
My I just say that your hair is such a gorgeous colour!! I'm having to wait until 6 April for a cut & colour...my own fault for putting off booking, but I'll look like the wreck of the Hesperus by then!!!
Nice to see so much of you in this pic too!! I agree with Lizzie...bite the bullett & reveal all...well, face-wise anyway!!...then document it for your confessions album!!
Mel - I can't for the life of me figure out why you are so camera shy - your hair is BEAUTIFUL and your eyes are so expressive! Quit hiding behind the camera and come out to play! ;) P.S. My sister's hair was that gorgeous shade of copper red when she was little. Love it!
I'm with all the others, I'm sure it won't be too long before we get a full frontal facial photo (try say that quickly ;o) ). I like the hair cut and a trip to the hairdressers is always good down time.:o)
I really need a aircut but can't quite afford it at the moment so just leaving it and hoping for the best! LOL. What did yr hairdresser think of u taking pics of yr coffee etc etc??!!
...is what I speak. It describes what I actually say (nonsense, mostly) and how I say it (ie my accent, which is a mixture of all sorts - a bit of North of England, a bit of Irish, a bit of South West England, a lot of just me!) The word comes from my name, Mel, and the fact that I'm one-quarter Welsh. But there's not actually any Welsh in my accent. Go figure...

are you on an interesting angel or is the diagonal behind you going upstairs? I do love the stuff in the background of people's photos !

I was just thinking the same thing! That is nearly a full picture of your face :) The haircut looks wonderful!

You crack me up, Mel. Nice way of taking a picture of yourself without having your face in the photo. :o)
Love the new do.
It's always nice to be able to see the world again without peering through hair! Nice cut. :)
