On March 3rd The Hamster escaped. Again.

Fortunately he's a tame and friendly The Hamster - and a very greedy one - so he always comes back again. On this occasion he was discovered behind the radiator in the living room. Not sure what he'd been up to but his whiskers were very dusty and he seemed pleased to see us!

On that day my afternoon coffee was accompanied by some ginger and lemon cookies:

It's the sheep mug again! Our indoor cat gets out occasionally and is usually VERY happy to come home!

We've had our share of hamster escapes ;o) but after the last one died I decided no more!
Our local sells the lemon and ginger cookies but not the orange and cranberry :( Unfortunately I don't really like ginger!

About time you posted something lemony again! I was going to ask if you made the bikkies but judging from Rhona's comment I guess they were store bought :-)

Mmmm lemony gorgeousness. I love lemon flavoured anything so put the kettle on and I'll be round in a little while!
I've never heard of training a hamster to clean behind the radiators but it sounds like a good idea, well done!

Haha..love the thought of the hamster doing the dusting for you! I do like the look of those biscuits.

Ginger and lemon cookies? No wonder The Hamster came back. My little fella has just discovered the joy of Hob Nobs. I just adore the little nibbly noises :)

After my recent experience with the unwelcome visitor, I don't think I could handle an escaping rodent as a pet! But I guess a regular game of hide and seek keeps you on your toes.

We never had a hamster while Carrie was growing up. We had a lizard for a while, a cockatiel, and the science room boa constrictor for a summer, but never a hamster. And fortunately none of our critters ever escaped. :o)

Our hamster 'Cheesy' is a miracle hamster - he survived in a room with two cats for three weeks - he lived in our washing machine the whole time even though it was used twice a day (wow he must have had a migraine during the spin cycle poor thing!!)

He survived a fight with the new kitten - nearly lost an eye but managed to survive that and get over the shock.....he's been through so many things but still keeps going at 2 1/2. He went through so much while the workmen were here building the house that they thought we kept replacing him and not telling the children - they didn't believe it was the same hamster!!

The Hamster sounds like adventures are okay, so long as he can go home to his own bed at the end of the day (a bit like me then)!

Yay for "Cheesy"! He sounds like the Bear Grylls of the hamster world...
