Fashion for your walls

Here's a quick Fashion Forward idea: grab a large box canvas (discount book shops often sell them cheaply) and cover it with an offcut of wallpaper or fabric. Hang it on your wall. Done!

A pair or cluster of them can look even more effective, and you can easily re-cover the canvas whenever you want a change :-)

Here's an example:

Note to self: Try to photograph the example straight on or it might look like you've been drinking....

We did this in my daughter's bedroom, she wanted wallpaper on one wall only so I covered a couple of canvas blocks with the left over paper for one of the walls that was painted. Very effective too! Hers are rarely straight either!

I saw something similar at the Orthodontists last week and thought it was a good idea! They had three in a row and it looked very effective.

What a good idea! Are you one of those lucky women with a staple gun as well as a bottle of wine?

Very pretty paper. I have done this before with scrapbook paper I liked. I used 4 12x12 pieces with matching sized canvases and it made a great wall hanging.

Who says homes shouldn't be beautiful too? :)

That's a great idea, Mel. Good way to try out a wallpaper you're not sure about too, perhaps?

You could take it a step further - cover the box canvas with paper, then fix a small frame in the centre, with a picture or print inside (or a card, small scrap layout, collection of things you like etc). A row of them would be coooool!
Thanks for getting my brain working again...some feat for a Monday, I'll tell you!

I did something like this once with a silk scarf. It is such a neat effect, and so simple (and inexpensive!) to do.
