On February 16th, it being Shrove Tuesday, we made pancakes - of course! :-) The Girl enjoys 'helping' in the kitchen...

And, naturally, having made them, that's what we ate! The Doctor and I usually go for the traditional sugar and lemon juice topping; The Children are quite partial to chocolate sauce....

DH and I had them Sunday night, because we'd forgotten all about them last Tuesday!

sugar and lemon juice? that is a new one on me. My girls like chocolate chip pancakes with powdered sugar. Most people I know eat them with maple syrup (yuck).

We had run out of caster sugar on Shrove Tuesday (how could that have happened?!) so whilst I would normally automatically go for the lemon and sugar option, I improvised with golden syrup. Yummmmmmmy! You should try it!

I love the perspective you used on the photo. I forget about pancakes for supper. We used to make an apple pancake that you baked in the oven; it was a favorite.

We also like sugar and lemon but add cinnamon into the mix as well :) Makes me wish it was pancake day again!
