The Children have swimming lessons each Wednesday. I've been wanting a 365 pic to represent this but you're not allowed to take photos at the pool, so I toyed with different ideas: Swimsuits/towels hanging up to dry? Swimming bags packed and ready to go? The receipt for the lessons? Then I had a sudden brainwave - why not just ask if I could take a pic of a patch of water with no swimmers in it?! So I asked, and it turns out the pool has a policy for when people are doing projects or articles or whatever and all I needed to do was sign a contract and pick up a pass! *doh!* Easy enough after all that....
That day I ate a little fruity crispy bar, packed with dried apple, sultanas and cranberries - yum! :-)

Love that picture Mel! It actually reminds me a little bit of a seal swimming in a pool.

That's interesting to know, I never thought of just asking if we could take a photo. My niece has been wanting to get a photo of her little boy in the pool. Thanks for posting this.
I love pools. I love the movement of water and I love the colour of water ... I could dive into this photo quite happily!
Reminds me of the many hours spent watching DS at the pool in his swimming club days.
That water looks very inviting. Mind you, the crispy bar does too..
life is so complex when photgraphy and children are involved these days, but in this current modern world we do have to be so careful. i love the picture u got, really calming but with a slight movement on the water. that bar looks good enough to eat

I'm a Piscean. Two little fishes swimming in the opposite direction. I should love the water. I should be a brilliant swimmer - right? Wrong. Didn't learn to swim until I was 26 and hate being out of my depth! So whilst that IS a lovely picture of the water in the pool, I'm more likely to dive into that crispy bar than the water!
What a crazy world it is that you can' t even take pics of your own kids. That crispy bar looks yummy...hurry up dinner...I am starving
It's been a long time since I took kids to a pool for lessons, but we were always allowed to take photos of our own kids, so I found this quite surprising. The treat looks yummy; what's a sultan?
Great pic of the water...I do love a swim...I'm not a strong or fast swimmer, but love just pootling up & down or splashing about with the boys!! Roll on Centerparcs this summer!! That cereal bar looks so scrummy!
Thanks everyone for your comments :-) I did enjoy swimming but the chlorine in the water effects my eczema so badly that I haven't been in years :-(
Oh, and Karen - sultanas are a dried fruit - similar to raisins but a bit bigger and less intense in flavour. They're made by drying sultana grapes. Their full name is actually 'sultana raisins', but we just call them sultanas for short!
In America Sultanas are called golden raisins - they are all just dried grapes only the golden ones are "white" grapes and the raisins are "red" grapes.
