Day 29: Visit

Eve since I met The Doctor, we've done a fair bit of travelling each Christmas: for the first few years we visited each other, then when we married we visited my The Mother and his The Parents, spending Christmas Day itself with them in alternate years. This continued even after we had The Boy. After The Girl was born it got too complicated to spend Christmas Day away from home! Too many gifts to fit into the car! That year everyone came to us instead. After that we crammed our visits in between Boxing Day and the start of the new term. Now my The Mother lives near us it's rather easier, but we still see plenty of service stations at this time of year:

Hence this page:

It's very simply put together from cardstock from Shimelle's kit, Basic Grey alphas, a piece from an old atlas, Elle's Studio number and the photo. It's not my favourite page, but it has its place in my album - and I *love* my nearly-complete album, which is what matters after all :-)

I love how you documented this -- really like that you used a map on the page. I've done this before and liked the results. I have a friend who punches circles from old maps and makes garland with them - such a fun look.

Congrats on sticking with your December pages!!!

I think it is the time of the year for travel - if the roads are any indication over here!

Too funny! I did a page on travelling, too. We used to do almost 800 miles roundtrip! My page featured the big cattle ranch where we would stop and have breakfast.

Luckily it's many years since we've had to travel much at christmas....love the individuality of your page.

Do you know I never celebrated Christmas in my own home until 3 years ago! I never knew any difference but love our quiet Christmas day now just the 4 of us. I can emphathise with all your travelling as I did it for many years, great idea!

Oh, yes! That travelling rings a bell here too. My mum isn't well enough to come to us, so negotiation is out of the question and we all pile into the car. Love that photo to tell the story with

Yep - loving the album is more important than loving the page in this class I think! I love my album but not loving any particular page!
