Calling all 365-ers!

Several of you said that you, too, were giving Project 365 a go this year :-) It would be lovely to see what you're doing! So I thought I'd set up a MckLinky, so that if you're posting your photos on a blog I can easily find them (and so can any other of my visitors who might be interested). This might be a separate blog that you've set up just for Project 365, or you might be putting them on your 'main' blog (as I am) - either way, it would be lovely to visit so please add your link to the list:

I'd also be really interested to hear any tips from people who have already done this, or who have just started but have already learnt something useful, or who have never done it but just have a really good idea! I came across a free download from Katrina Kennedy - click this link for an interesting blog post she published today, and scroll to the bottom to find the link to the free tutorial. Now, I'm pretty certain I found this recommended on someone else's blog, but now I can't for the life of me remember whose in order to thank them! If it was you, please tell me in the comments so I can thank you properly :-) Anyway, one thing I particularly like about the tutorial - aside from all the useful general tips - is a list of 402 suggestions for photos. So far it hasn't been a problem finding something to photograph, but if ever I am stuck for ideas I know this list will be invaluable. Already, having merely glanced through it, I've spotted a couple of things that I'd like to include some time over the year.

And the photo overlays I've been using are by Ali Edwards and you can get them here.

I think they're great, they instantly add a little 'something' to a photo, and I also have plans to print them in different colours when I want journaling cards for layouts.

Any other tips or useful links? Please share! I'd be really grateful :-)

Mclinky! You do find some fab ideas on the Net!
Thanks for the link to the overlays. I like those very much.
Good luck with your 365 - it's not for me this year, but I am an interested spectator and well-wisher!

Well, I decided to do a very simple version of project 365 as I want to scrapbook and need to take more photos and now I will capture some of the ordinary things as well as the extraordinary. (I hope!!) I Love those overlays but not sure how to use them or if I should be purchasing them at the moment so will save the idea for another time! Thanks xxx

I'm doing 365. Last year I tried posting them on a separate blog that was on my sidebar. I made it to June when we left on a month long road trip and I never really got back to it. I'm working on organizing the rest of 2009, but am doing 2010 at the same time. I scrapped 23 weeks of POTD last year and don't really want to go back to it. In November and December I tried Shuttercal.com which I like but haven't decided on for this year. I'm planning to post a favorite or two from the week on my blog and think I will do a mosaic like Katrina's at the end of the month with my favorites. Then I'll have 12 layouts. Still thinking about all this, as you can tell.

Thanks for mentioning my tutorial! I will continue to post 365 tips/tricks as we go through the year!

Good luck, have fun and shoot lots :)

I love Ali's overlays. I wish I had bought the full set when they were on sale. I bought the December group last month and right now I'm using those and just erasing the month and typing in the new one. Not a perfect solution, but it'll do for now.

I will only 365 McKLinky if you sign up to my McKLinky blog hop!

Oh OK, I'll sign up regardless....:)

I'm trying the photo-a-day thing, too... have missed a few already, but that's okay... I was coveting the AE overlays, then I remembered that CZ provided a tutorial on her blog for making your own, so that's what I'm doing! Haven't loaded them to my blog yet, I'll get around to it at some stage ~lol~ good luck keeping up!

Now McLinky sounds a bit technical for me..but I like what you can do with it. Mmm, maybe I could crack it..

I have a 365 project and tried to add to the MckLinky but...apparently, I put the link in wrong. Sorry. It should be http://evalyn.typepad.com/project_365.
