Yes, still on the snowy theme! I had to go out to our nearest shop to get a few essentials, so I put on my walking boots and took the walking poles with spikes on them. I got some funny looks and someone asked me where my skis were, but I'm used enough to funny looks and at least I didn't slip! In fact, I saw an ambulance on one corner where someone had fallen and had a nasty knock, so I didn't feel so silly then - the pavements were treacherously slippery, even with all my precautions.

A simple food photo today.

I love cereal :-) I'm more likely to eat it as a snack than for breakfast - I'm not very good at eating breakfast (I know this is very naughty, and I'm sorry. On days when I'm working I always make sure I've eaten something, I promise.) I tend to get hooked on a particular kind - currently Asda's Vitality (basically Special K); I eat my way through several boxes of it then switch to another kind. Always with skimmed milk and no extra sugar, though :-)

Well hello Sir Edmund Hilary! How was the expedition? LOL! I'm so pleased you took every precaution Mel ;-)
I love cereal - but, I have to have at least two varieties in the bowl at once with stewed fruit and yummy organic yoghurt .... salivating at the thought!

I'd rather get a few odd looks then fall on my butt. :) and I could always poke the people that laugh with the pointy sticks ;p

Sounds like a very sensible idea to me! Are you going to post your Narnia picture?

Smart girl to walk with the poles! We like to use walking sticks when we hike as well.

And my hubby is a HUGE fan of cereal too! I give him a hard time because he likes the "kid" cereal - sugary sweet with a prize. hahaha

Nice self portrait!
Thanks for your post on my blog - haikus are sooo easy. They're the only kind of poetry I engage in.

Wow what a coincidence, one of the photos I took today was of my feet! I was walking into work in about 8 inches of snow in places! Glad you were safe.

well I know I would rather be the one with the funny walking poles & not the one with the bruised bum!! I also love cereal & my fave has to be Crunchy Nut Cornflakes ... trouble is trying not to munch them out of the packet instead of putting them in a bowl!!

Yes, the walking boots are so useful. Even J. has admitted they are better than welly boots - they give him an advantage in snowball fights because he can run!
Walking poles are a fab idea. I wonder if we've got any long sticks in the garden....

I love cereals but as a diabetic anything with ,ore than 10 grams of sugar per 100 grams is WAY too sugary and the only cereals that don't have hidden sugar are shredded wheat and weetabix blagh!
