On the 24th The Lovely Doctor looked after The Children for the afternoon so I could go out for a quiet coffee and a bit of 'me-time' reading the Sunday papers :-) So I went to Costa and had my favourite small, skinny, Fairtrade, gingerbread latte! (I also bought a sewing machine. Not from Costa. From the Tesco store within which Costa was located.)
I then returned home refreshed and ready to prepare our Sunday roast - which included my crispy roast potatoes:
Yum! Though I do say so myself.... ;-)

Those roasties look very yummy Mel.
one word sums up both those pics for me 'YUMMY!'
Those roasties look the crispiest ever!
Look forward to seeing some sewing.
Yum indeed! Absolutely one of my favourite foods. It's good to hear that you get a bit of me time.
Oohh, how do you do your spuds? I peel, par boil and then shake them in the pot until they are mooshed up a bit, spray generously with oil, salt and pepper them and then roast ..... what is your secret?
Yum is right! My family loves potatoes and we've never had them this way (I know, you aren't surprised!). Would love to try them out!
So nice that you got a little alone time. We all need that occassionally.
xo
Yum on both counts! More on the sewing machine, please!
Yum yum. I've never made potatoes that way and gosh do they look delicious!
Yum thats the way I make my roasties and they are my FAVOURITE food - with lots of gravy - I love the crispy bits the best :)
YUM - your blog is NOT good for me :)
lol!
My favourite at Costa is the Cinnamon Latte (not sure if they do it all year round or just at Christmas?). I like nothing better than to escape to a coffee shop - alone or with friends.
Your roast potatoes look delicious!
Oooh, Mel, that latte is totally calling to me! It's a very nice photograph, as well. Maybe I"ll go get a latte soon . . .
