This year, amongst all the busy preparations...
I will rediscover my
joy.
I will take time to
reflect.
I will enjoy my
craft.
I will remember
the true meaning of Christmas.
Collage Press cardstock, trimmed using Shimelle's template. Journaling stamped using Studio G and PaperArtsy stamps in Whisper Blue and Azure Seas ink. The fainter words show how washed out I can feel if I get caught up in all the rushing around, and also represent how I hope these things will fade more into the background this year so the important things come to the forefront. You see what I did there? ;-)
Happy Holidays embellishment from Shimelle's kit. Ruffle made from brown ribbon. (Inspired by Sian - thanks honey! But why did I decide to do a circle for my first attempt at a ruffle?! Why not an easy straight line?!)
This is my
Journal Your Christmas manifesto - my statement of intent for my album. It's also my response to the question posed at
All About Me: What does Christmas mean to me?

SO gorgeous. I really love what you write and the outcome of the project.
:-) This is great Mel, I can see with all of that rushing around you will need the five wine varieties!
This has been one of my favourite pages to make - thinking about how to reclaim the time, savour the joy and go with the madness I suppose, I love your interpretation :-)
Well, that was a pretty comprehensive list - I don't think you missed anything really - except Lebkuchen, which are my very favourite Christmas biscuit - but I'll forgive you for that!
The Layout is cool. The ruffle turned out great.
It's such fun seeing everyone's pages building up...

The way you've done the inking is brilliant and clever, love it!
Love the way you've done the inking to be so representational..... but I have to point out you've made one mistake-sprouts [yummy],and one omission-gingerbread biscuits [also yummy].
