which she then kindly and generously gave to me! Oh, I have such plans for beautiful cards and mini-books involving these.... I should also have thanked her properly for sharing her knowledge, expertise, ideas, supplies and time with me, 'cos I could never have made my two new fabby bracelets without her help. I can't believe I forgot to thank her in my post, and I feel a bit ashamed about that. Sorry, Clair. I had a great time and look forward to dabbling in alcohol inks next! :-)
I also feel I should share some of my own culinary disasters with you to make clear that a slightly browned strudel comes nowhere near...
- I had read about sweet omelettes, even though I'd only previously come across the savoury version. So I thought, why not apply the same principle to scrambled eggs? People, do not EVER add sugar to scrambled eggs. It tastes disgusting!
- The first time I tried to brown a tuna pasta bake under the grill, I set fire to it. Tuna Pasta Flambee is not going to make it into my recipe blog.
- Now and then I make a chicken dish for me and The Doctor, and it's yummy. So when we had friends round for dinner, I thought I'd make it and just double all the quantities. Being a good hostess I served myself with the smallest chicken breast, which was completely fine. It wasn't till I was clearing up after our friends had gone that I realised that none of the other chicken breasts had cooked through properly because I'd forgotten to allow extra cooking time for the extra quantity, and they were PINK and RAW in the middle!! My friends had been too polite to say anything!
PS I'm off to the Post Office now. Just thought certain people might be interested... ;-)

Love the cooking disaster stories, I have had a few myself! The First time I made an omelette it looked liked scrambled egg! It fell apart when I tried to fold it!
I think we can successfully put 'strudelgate' behind us and move on :) But don't think I'm happy about having just snorted tea because someone thought putting sugar in scrambled eggs would be a good idea. Bleurgh! x
Ohmygosh! I have so been there too with the kitchen disasters! Thankfully, I have never tasted a sweet omelette ;)
haha! very funny :-) I love those little beadlings.
"strudelgate!" Very funny. Sounds like you are feeling a bit better.
You sound much better and I think we all have had cooking disasters in our lives. We need to just laugh and try again.
The little beaded lollypop things are so cute!
When I was little, I was making cookies at a friend's house, and we added salt instead of sugar - talk about disaster!

I've definately had a few culinary disasters....including one involving DD and cookies this very afternoon.....but that's a story for another day!!
Most recently I tried a new mac & cheese recipe and halfway through mixed it up with the one I know from memory and had the grainiest liquidy cheese sauce you ever tasted. And the noodles were not al dente, they were rock hard
Sugar in scrambled eggs? Just the sound of it .... pretty funny though :)
Most of us have had the odd kitchen disaster - Often things that I make can turn out fine but then for no apparent reason you get one disastrous batch and think WTF happened there!!!..oh and excited to see the goodies have been posted!!! :0)
