I'm dreaming of a....

...pink Christmas! Because of the challenge at "Something Completely Different", you see :-) I had a quick look this morning to see what it was about this week, and the answer was pink with a Christmas tree. I thought I knew how I was going to do it but then I went off to my monthly craft group to find we were doing cross-stitch cards - and one of the packs was a pink heart design. So I used the pink threads and beads and a bit of imagination to design my own pink cross-stitch Christmas tree - and here it is:

The little seed beads came with the kit, and the silver star bead I had at home and added later:

Considering I made it up as I went along I'm really pleased with it!!

I also wanted to mention the new kit from Jess over at Can You Pixel This? Yes, we're friends-by-email, but I don't get commission or anything lol! But I love all the kits she's put together, and I'm _definitely_ buying this one, just as soon as I've finished this blog post :-)

I've not cross-stitched a stitch in my life .... this is gorgeous:) Infact, I think this is absolutely perfect - are they too time consuming to make enmasse? I saw the mini album as well .. looks lovely, but I.am.not taking on any more projects or buying any more product this year unless it is related to JYC!

I love your version of this card. Good for you for making the kit fit into your idea. I think that I'm so scared to try things that I don't just wing it like I should. Great job!

I love the pink tree. So much fun. I'm liking the lines of paper and things hat have a slight twist to the traditional Christmas colors.

Very cute! It would've taken me forever to come up with and finish the cross stitch ... I love the results, but hate the process!
